Remember all that stuff about posting weekly and actually sticking to something I said I was going to do?
…Yeah. So that didn’t happen.
It’s been three weeks since my last post and I’ve been nowhere to be found (unless you follow me on Tumblr, Twitter or have me on Facebook, in which case you’ve not noticed my absence because I’m on there all the fucking time). I’ve been incubating a novel in my brain. And working on an outline and character development, because if I don’t outline a story, it’ll go off all kinds of rails. I’ve also been working, and living, and drinking all the wine on the planet.
The weather has gotten nicer, with the exception of the past couple of days, and I’ve been trying to take advantage of it by actually venturing outside occasionally. I’ve managed to stick to a bedtime, typically going to sleep around 12:30AM and getting up at 7AM. It’s helping, but it’s still tough. I bought a giant canvas, some paint and paintbrushes, and have been sketching and experimenting with oil pastels. I have my fingers in a lot of different delicious pies, but blogging hasn’t been one of them.
So let’s fix that, shall we? I’m going to add daily blogging to my routine. Since I work closing shifts the majority of the time, I strive for a creative morning. I’ll sketch for an hour or so, then work on my novel, then blog. How does that sound, lovelies? Let’s see if that works.
Tonight there’s an unofficial work party (as in, not work-sanctioned or funded, but attended by most of my coworkers). In an attempt to be more social and less of an underground hermit, I plan to attend. Assuming I’m not too annihilated, I’ll tell you all about it tomorrow.
Thanks for sticking by me, even in my absence. Go forth and have a beautiful day!
